IM HAVING TROUBLE FROM THE BEGINING WITH THE AO SOFTWARE,I CANT INSTALL IT ON WINDOWS SERVER 2012 R2, WHEN INITIATING THE INSTALLING PROCESS I GET ERROR NOT VALID OS !! It's going into regions i never thought were possible, nor could i imagine at all. The sound in general is more precise and focused, more "alive" than before.
The stage is bigger, and the bass completely changed, it's has more slam and more definition. I'm very bad in describing audio, but i will try for once. But you will hear for yourself very soon. I never thought that it will be that good. The changes in Sound it made are just astonishing. ( i don't like the idea of a GUI installation and deinstalling the GUI again later on…) I found the perfect solution, and in the end, it was rather easy. So the challenge was, to get Kernel Streaming working on a native installation of a server 2012 core edition. You would have that with the normal GUI-Edition, but i wouldn't have a GUI OS for my JPlay AudioPC anyway. The best windows platform we could imaging for our beloved hobby.īut there was a Problem The core edition of Server 2012 does not support WASAPI or Kernel Streaming, period.
It's the most efficient and "lightest" windows OS you can have. The Windows Server Core Editions are stripped down like nothing else. I achieved to make an audiophile version of windows server 2012 core edition.
